Accessibility Statement

Our Commitment to Accessibility

FireDEX Butler is committed to making its website accessible to everyone, including people who rely on assistive technologies such as screen readers, keyboard navigation, or voice control software. We believe that clear, usable information about water damage, fire damage, and mold remediation should be available to every property owner who needs it — regardless of ability or the device they’re using.

This statement applies to the website located at firedex.net.

What Standard We Aim to Meet

We work toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA — the widely recognized benchmark for web accessibility published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). Meeting Level AA means the site is designed to be perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for a broad range of users and assistive technologies.

In practical terms, that includes:

  • Meaningful alt text on images so screen readers can convey visual content
  • Sufficient color contrast between text and backgrounds
  • Keyboard-navigable menus and interactive elements
  • Descriptive link text that makes sense out of context
  • Page structure built with semantic HTML so assistive tools can interpret headings, lists, and landmarks correctly

Known Limitations

We are a restoration contractor, not a dedicated web development firm, and we acknowledge that no site achieves perfect accessibility in every context. Third-party content — such as embedded maps or external scheduling tools — may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA, as those elements are outside our direct control. We review our own content regularly and address issues as they are identified.

How to Report an Issue

If you encounter a barrier that prevents you from accessing information or contacting us, we want to know. Please reach out directly:

  • Phone: (724) 452-7400
  • Email: mail@firedex.net
  • Mail: FireDEX Butler, Inc., 9133 Marshall Rd, Cranberry Township, PA 16066

When you contact us, describe the page or feature you were trying to use and the nature of the difficulty. We will acknowledge your message promptly and aim to resolve or provide an accessible alternative within a reasonable timeframe — typically within five business days for straightforward issues.

Alternative Access to Information

If any part of the site is not working for you, our office staff can provide information by phone during business hours. Whether you need details about our services, want to schedule an estimate, or have questions about insurance coordination, calling (724) 452-7400 is always an option.

Ongoing Effort

Accessibility is not a one-time checkbox. As we update content and features, we factor accessibility into those changes. We welcome feedback from users — it is one of the most direct ways we learn where improvements are needed. If you have a suggestion beyond a specific barrier, that input is welcome through the same contact channels above.
