What This Policy Covers

This privacy policy explains how FireDEX Butler, Inc. — located at 9133 Marshall Rd, Cranberry Township, PA 16066 — collects, uses, and protects information you share when you visit firedex.net or contact us about restoration services. We’ve written it in plain language because you shouldn’t need a law degree to understand how your information is handled.

Information We Collect

We collect only what’s necessary to respond to you and schedule work. That falls into two categories.

Information you provide directly. When you submit a contact form, request an estimate, or call us, you typically share your name, phone number, email address, property address, and a description of the damage or service you need. If you’re coordinating an insurance claim, you may also share your carrier name and claim number.

Basic analytics data. Like most websites, firedex.net collects standard server and analytics data — pages visited, approximate geographic region, browser type, and how you arrived at the site (search, referral, direct). This data is aggregated and not tied to your identity. We use it to understand which information is most useful to visitors and to improve the site.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to respond to your inquiry, schedule on-site estimates, document loss details for insurance purposes, and communicate with you throughout the restoration process. We do not use your contact information for marketing campaigns or add you to mailing lists without your explicit consent.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. The only circumstance under which we share your information with an outside party — such as your insurance carrier or a subcontractor involved in your project — is with your direct authorization. When insurance coordination is part of the job, we share only the documentation necessary to process your claim.

Data Retention

We retain project records, including contact and insurance documentation, for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill legal, accounting, and warranty obligations — typically seven years, consistent with standard contractor recordkeeping practices in Pennsylvania. Contact form submissions that do not result in a project are retained for a shorter period and then deleted.

Your Rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives you the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask that it be deleted, and opt out of any sale of that information (we do not sell data). Residents of other states with applicable privacy laws hold similar rights. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at mail@firedex.net or (724) 452-7400 and we will respond within 30 days.

GDPR applies primarily to businesses operating within or targeting residents of the European Union. As a Pennsylvania-based restoration contractor serving the greater Pittsburgh region, we do not anticipate processing data subject to GDPR obligations, but we are committed to handling all personal information with care regardless of jurisdiction.
